Discover the Airport Exhibit

A distinctive feature of Syracuse Hancock International Airport is the Discover the Airport exhibit. The exhibit first opened in 1996 and has been visited by countless school groups, community organizations, travelers and guests. Visitors can interact with actual aircraft landing gear, a baggage tug, and a “marshaller” display where they can learn and practice the signaling techniques used by those responsible for assisting the aircraft with safe takeoffs and landings. Interactive displays depict the four forces of flight; historical graphics and corresponding text detailing the history of aviation, both locally and nationally, and the history of the airport.

There is no charge to visit the Discover the Airport exhibit, which is located on the main floor in the center of the terminal.
